Brian Ragan is a resident of Dickson County, Tennessee with a family history in the county dating back to 1806. Brian’s professional work experience began in the financial services industry, and includes serving five years as a bank examiner for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions (TDFI) and two years as general legal counsel to the commissioner for the TDFI. In 1998, he moved his law practice from Nashville to Dickson, and was elected that same year to an eight-year term as city judge for Dickson. Since 2006, he has served, along with his colleagues in the firm, as the county attorney for Dickson County, Tennessee.
In 2007, Mr. Ragan retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard after having served more than 20 years. His service included a one-year tour of duty in Afghanistan as a combat infantry adviser embedded with an Afghan infantry unit. During his deployment, he conducted joint operations with numerous international forces, and with both the 3rd and 20th Special Forces Groups.
He is married to Rebecca Carol Hall, and they have two children, Patrick and Emma. Mr. Ragan is a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ in Dickson.
